STREAM for Youth provides training on the following subjects:
- Electronics
- Robotics
- 3d printing
- Making
- Robogames
Calling all students! Join the STREAM labs youth program…
Is your young maker interested in how things work? STREAM lab’s hands-on, project-based day camps are geared to intrigue and fire up the curiosity of kids ages 6-18.
Design & Build Camp (Ages 8 to 17)
Introduces the engineering design process using laser cutters, 3D printers, and heat press and vinyl cutting. Participants identify design problems, brainstorm creative solutions, and prototype human-centered inventions using CAD (computer aided design) skills in 2D Design.
Basic Electronics Camp (Ages 10 to 18)
Youth learn basic concepts related to electricity, circuits, electronic measurement and soldering. Projects include using solder, a soldering iron, and the laser cutter for fabricating parts.
Arduino Robotics Camp (Ages 12 to 18)
Youth design, build and program Arduino boards, which are used to make a multitude of different projects throughout the week, culminating in their very own robots.
Summer of Creation (Ages 6 to 18)
This add-on gives young makers the opportunity to hang out and continue working on their projects at STREAM labs before and after camp each day. Be sure to purchase the Summer of Creation: Maker Session that begins on the same day as your youth’s camp session.
Robogames (Ages 10 to 18)
Learn to design, build and program a Robot in our yearly event. Visit www.robogames.ca for more details.
